How to access your Welmi account

Understanding Welmi accounts

Welmi does not use a traditional email and password login. Your account is tied to your Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android). The app automatically recognizes your subscription through the app store account you used to purchase it.

Note: The Already have an account? Sign In button on the first screen (on Android: I already have an account Sign In) is only for subscriptions bought on the Welmi website. There you sign in with the email you used for the purchase and a 6-digit code we send to it — there is no password. If you subscribed through the app, do not use it: you have no Welmi email sign-in, and you do not need one.

How to restore your subscription — iPhone

  1. Open the Welmi app.

  2. On the first screen, tap Continue. Do NOT tap "Already have an account? Sign In" — this is only for website purchases.

  3. Go through the onboarding screens.

  4. When the app offers Continue with Apple along the way, sign in with the same Apple ID you used for the purchase. If you signed in with Continue with Google before, choose it instead with the same Google account — this brings back your entries.

  5. Welmi should recognize your subscription automatically. If it does not, scroll down on the pricing screen and tap Restore — your subscription will be restored via your Apple ID.

You must be signed in with the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.

If you then see an offer to buy the AI Bundle (AI Health Report and Body Scan), you can simply close that screen. It is an optional one-time purchase and is not part of your subscription.

How to restore your subscription — Android

  1. Open the Welmi app.

  2. On the first screen, tap Continue. Do NOT tap "I already have an account Sign In" — this is only for website purchases.

  3. Go through the onboarding screens.

  4. If you signed in with Continue with Google before, choose it again when the app offers it, with the same Google account — this brings back your entries.

  5. On the pricing screen, scroll down and tap Restore.

  6. Your subscription will be restored via your Google account.

You must be signed in with the same Google account that was used for the original purchase. You can verify your active subscriptions at Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

How to check your subscription status

iPhone: 1. Open Settings on your device. 2. Tap your name (Apple ID) at the top. 3. Tap Subscriptions. 4. Look for Welmi in the list.

Android: 1. Open Google Play. 2. Tap your Profile icon. 3. Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. 4. Look for Welmi in the list.

Transferring to a new device (same platform)

If you are moving to a new iPhone or a new Android device:

  1. Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account on the new device.

  2. Download Welmi from the App Store or Google Play.

  3. Open the app and go through onboarding.

  4. Tap Restore on the pricing screen.

Your subscription and access will be restored automatically.

Your entries come back if you signed in with Continue with Apple or Continue with Google before: choose the same option during onboarding on the new phone. If you never signed in, Welmi recognizes your account on a new phone only when your phone's data moves with it: set up the new iPhone from your old one or from an iCloud backup using the same Apple ID, or restore your new Android phone from your Google backup. Otherwise the new phone starts a new account, and your old entries can't be moved over.

Reinstalling Welmi on the same iPhone usually keeps your account: you go through the survey again, and your entries come back.

Your subscription is usually picked up automatically — but you still need to go through onboarding. After you reinstall Welmi while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account, the app recognizes your subscription on its own. You still have to complete the onboarding survey, and you should not sign in with an email: if you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you have no email sign-in. Just finish onboarding and tap Restore, and your access will be restored.

Switching between iPhone and Android? Cancel, request a refund, and subscribe again. Subscriptions purchased in the app through Apple cannot be used on Android, and vice versa. A subscription bought on the Welmi website works on both — see "Can I use one account on both iPhone and Android?" below. To switch, cancel your subscription on the old phone, request a refund, and subscribe on the new phone. If Apple or Google approves the refund, your access ends right away. See Transfer your account for the steps.

Frequently asked questions

"How do I log in to Welmi?" Welmi does not use a login/password system. To access the app, open it, go through the onboarding screens, and tap Restore at the bottom of the pricing screen. The app automatically recognises your subscription through your Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android) — no email or password required.

"I have a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?" On your new phone, sign in with the same Apple ID (iPhone) or same Google account (Android) you originally used. Then download Welmi, go through onboarding, and tap Restore on the pricing screen. Your subscription will be restored automatically. If you forgot your Apple ID, recover it at iforgot.apple.com; for Google account recovery, visit accounts.google.com/signin/recovery.

"The app is asking for a password I never created." You do not have a Welmi password — your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account. Do not tap "Already have an account? Sign In" (on Android: "I already have an account Sign In") — that option is only for website purchases. Instead, complete the onboarding flow and tap Restore on the pricing screen.

"I cannot sign in — where do I enter my email?" You do not need to enter an email. Welmi does not have a traditional sign-in flow for app subscribers. Just go through onboarding and tap Restore on the pricing screen — your subscription will be linked automatically through your store account.

"The app says no subscription was found for my email." This message comes from the Already have an account? Sign In screen (on Android: I already have an account Sign In), which is only for subscriptions bought on the Welmi website. If you subscribed in the app through the App Store or Google Play, you do not need to enter an email or password. Go back to the first screen, tap Continue, complete onboarding, and tap Restore on the pricing screen.

"I signed in with Apple (or used Hide My Email). Which email do I enter?" None. Your account is tied to your Apple ID, so you do not need to enter an email or password. Open Welmi, tap Continue and go through onboarding. When the app offers Continue with Apple, sign in with the same Apple ID. If your subscription is not recognized automatically, tap Restore on the pricing screen.

"How can I tell if my subscription is active?" In most cases, no action is needed — your subscription is recognised automatically once you complete onboarding. The simplest way to confirm it is active is to try scanning food more than once on the same day. The free version allows only one scan per day, so if a second scan goes through without hitting a paywall, your Pro subscription is working. You can also verify in your store settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iPhone) or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (Android).

"How can I confirm my subscription is active on my new device?" The simplest way to confirm your subscription is active on a new device is to try logging two meals in one day. If you can do that, your subscription is already active on the new device.

"I tapped Log out on my iPhone and my data is gone." On iPhone, Log out deletes your Welmi account, just like Delete account. Your previous entries can't be restored, and signing in again with the same Apple ID or Google account creates a new, empty account. Logging out does not cancel your subscription: it stays active in the App Store until you cancel it there. To use it in the new account, go through onboarding and tap Restore on the pricing screen. If you only want to reinstall Welmi or move to a new phone, do not tap Log out.

"I forgot my password." If you subscribed through the app, you do not have a password. There is nothing to reset. Simply open the app, go through onboarding, and tap Restore on the pricing screen.

"I deleted the app — is my subscription lost?" No. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Reinstall the app and tap Restore to regain access.

"Which email is linked to my Welmi account? Can I change it?" If you subscribed through the app, there is no separate email registration in Welmi, so your profile shows no email and there is no Welmi email to change. Your account is tied to your Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android). To see the email of your Apple ID, open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name at the top — the address is shown under your name.

"I want to use a different Apple ID or Google account." Your subscription stays with the Apple ID or Google account that bought it and cannot be moved to another one. If you still have access to the original account, sign in with it in the App Store or Google Play on your phone, then open Welmi, go through onboarding and tap Restore — this works on a new phone too. If you want to switch to a different account, you need a new subscription on it. You can cancel the old subscription and request a refund (if it is approved, access on the old account ends right away) — see How to request a refund on iPhone or How to request a refund on Android.

"Can I use one account on both iPhone and Android?" It depends on where you bought your subscription.

  • Bought in the app (App Store or Google Play): the subscription belongs to that store and cannot be moved to or linked with the other platform — there it is a separate subscription. If you are switching platforms, cancel your subscription on the old phone, request a refund, and subscribe on the new phone — see Transfer your account. If Apple or Google approves the refund, your access ends right away. To use Welmi on both platforms, you need a separate subscription on each.

  • Bought on the Welmi website: the subscription is linked to your email and works on both. On either phone, tap Already have an account? Sign In (on Android: I already have an account Sign In), enter the email you used for the purchase and the 6-digit code we send to it.

Your entries are the same on both phones if you sign in on each of them with Continue with Google using the same Google account. Android offers only Google sign-in, so an account created with Continue with Apple on iPhone cannot be opened on Android.

"Can I share my subscription with family?" No. Welmi uses a 1:1 model — each subscription is tied to a single Apple ID or Google account and cannot be shared. Welmi has no family plan, and Apple Family Sharing does not apply to Welmi subscriptions — even if purchase sharing is turned on in your Apple settings.

You also cannot add a second person or profile to one account. For separate progress, each person needs to install Welmi and subscribe with their own Apple ID or Google account — they then get their own profile with their own data and goals.

If you bought your subscription because you expected to share it with your family, you can request a refund — see How to request a refund on iPhone or How to request a refund on Android.

  • The Restore button is located at the bottom of the pricing screen during onboarding.

  • You must use the same Apple ID or Google account that was used for the original purchase.
