If your premium features appear locked after reinstalling, switching devices, or updating the app, you can restore your purchase in a few steps. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account — there is no login/password system in Welmi.
Restore on iPhone
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase. Go to Settings → Apple ID on your device to verify.
Open Welmi and navigate to the paywall screen (the screen that shows subscription options).
Tap the Restore button (located on the paywall screen, usually near the bottom).
Wait a few seconds — your premium access should reactivate automatically.
Restore on Android
Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account used for the original purchase. Check in Google Play → Account.
Open Welmi and navigate to the paywall screen.
Tap the Restore button on the paywall screen.
Wait a few seconds for your premium access to reactivate.
How to verify your subscription is active
In many cases, no action is needed — your subscription is recognised automatically once you complete onboarding. To confirm it is active, try scanning food more than once on the same day:
If a second scan goes through without a paywall, your Pro subscription is active and you're all set.
If the second scan is blocked, the free one-scan-per-day limit is still in effect — open the app, complete onboarding, and tap Restore on the pricing screen.
Frequently asked questions
The app asks me to pay again. Do I need to repurchase? No. Do not tap the payment/subscribe button. Instead, look for the Restore button on the paywall screen and tap it. This will relink your existing purchase.
I deleted and reinstalled the app. Is my subscription lost? No. Your subscription is safely stored with Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). After reinstalling, open the app and tap the Restore button on the paywall screen to reactivate.
I purchased the Body Scan bundle (AI Bundle), but food scanning is still locked. The AI Bundle is a one-time purchase that gives permanent access to two specific features only: the AI Health Report and Body Scan. It is not a Pro subscription. Food scanning and other core features require an active Pro subscription, which is a separate product. See Plans and pricing for a full comparison of what is included in each tier.
I paid for lifetime access — why is the app asking me to pay again? If you made a one-time payment (sometimes labelled "lifetime" or "pay once" at checkout), you most likely purchased the AI Bundle, not a Pro subscription. The Bundle gives permanent access to the AI Health Report and Body Scan only. To unlock food scanning and other Pro features, you need an active Pro subscription separately. See Plans and pricing.
I see a promo banner even though I am a subscriber. This is normal behavior. Promotional banners may appear for all users, including active subscribers. You can safely ignore or close the banner — it does not affect your subscription status.
I see a white screen or error after payment. This is usually caused by a temporary internet connectivity issue. Try the following: 1. Close the app completely. 2. Check your internet connection. 3. Reopen the app and tap the Restore button. If the issue persists, your payment may still have been processed — check your subscription status in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play → Subscriptions (Android).
