Logging workouts and activity

Where is the Fitness tab?

We removed the Fitness tab for all users because very few of our subscribers used it, and we don't plan to bring it back in the near future. Workout plans and exercise videos were removed along with it. Burned calories, daily activity and walk tracking are now on the Nutrition tab.

Adding a workout manually

On the Nutrition tab, tap Add Activity on the Activity card. Choose your activity type, duration, and intensity, then save. You can add multiple workouts per day.

Syncing workouts from Apple Watch

Workout data syncs through Apple Health. To enable it, open the Health app on your iPhone → tap your Profile → Apps → Welmi → enable Activity, Workouts, Steps, and Distance. Once permissions are granted, workouts will auto-sync.

External devices (Garmin, Fitbit, etc.)

There is no direct connection to devices like Garmin. However, if your device's app syncs with Apple Health or Health Connect, Welmi reads your steps and workouts from there. See How to connect a fitness tracker for setup instructions.

Burned calories from exercise

When enabled, calories recorded in Apple Health are added to your daily calorie norm — your daily limit increases on active days. Toggle this setting in Profile. For more on calorie and macro targets, see Setting goals and targets.

Personalized fitness recommendations

Open the Coach on the Nutrition tab for workout suggestions, exercise programs, and training advice — including questions about training around an injury or a physical limitation. Please note that technical support cannot provide personalized fitness advice — the Coach is the right place for exercise guidance.

FAQ

  • How do I add a workout? On the Nutrition tab, tap Add Activity on the Activity card.

  • How do I sync my Apple Watch? Open the Health app, go to Profile → Apps → Welmi, and enable the required permissions.

  • Can I still open my workout plan? No. Workout plans and exercise videos were removed together with the Fitness tab, so they can't be opened in the app.

  • Can I edit or delete a workout? You can delete a workout entry from your activity journal: tap the Activity card on the Nutrition tab to open your journal, then press and hold the entry and tap Delete (or open it and tap Delete). Its burned calories are then no longer counted. Workouts are not listed in the food Journal on the Nutrition tab.

  • Are there gym-specific routines? Ask the Coach on the Nutrition tab for workout programs and routines.

Important notes

  • Apple Watch sync requires Apple Health permissions to be enabled.

  • Open the Coach on the Nutrition tab for exercise guidance and recommendations.

  • Burned calories from exercise may adjust your daily calorie target when the setting is enabled.
